29 Things

I turned 29. It has/had me kinda bummed, freaked out BUT oddly feeling more in charge of myself. The feeling of being more in charge of where my life takes me is the most important one out of all these emotions.
SO here is my plan for this 29th year---I will do 29 things that scare me, I keep putting off, or I just always wanted to try. I'll be documenting these adventures as they unfold until my next birthday!
 
Here are five so far:

1. Get my ear pierced (again)---I let my ear piercings grow over except for one. I'd like to get them re-pierced and maybe a fun one like a tragus piercing.

2. Dye my hair baby pink (calm down Mom)---like Rachel McAdams on the cover of Elle in 2007.

3. Sing something with my sound man ---In grade school, I was a chorus girl. It was the only class I felt like I could relax and be my true self in. But singing solo---I start sweating and close down....AND it's all about doing things that make me SWEAT TEARS.  

4. Ride a roller coaster with my eyes open (again)---as a kid, I loved roller coasters but fear took over and I curl up like a baby on them now.

5. Take an improv class @UCB --- improv isn't something I'm comfortable with but I have a love/hate feeling for it. I've been talking about doing this for awhile now.

The journey of blogging

It's been awhile since I really tried to put something up on BLONDUNDERWATER, I'm trying to figure out what I desire out of this blog. Blogging was something that I kinda fell into but learned that it's a nice way for me to get a quick creative outlet going. It always helps with my writing. Please bear with me while I journey into sorting everything out with my blog.

A Year In Review

Adios 2012! Welcoming 2013 with open arms

What I learned: 

RESPONSIBILITY-- This seemed to be a theme for the Spring and Summer for me. There's an age that 20-somethings hit and it becomes totally unattractive/uncute to be the person to pass responsibility to others. I'd rather be the girl who take cares of those "terrible grow up responsibility's" instead of throwing it to others

BITCH--Gosh how I fell in love with this word. I'd rather be a woman who is up front with what she wants and doesn't want in life. A bitch but not in a rude way. Someone who is clear with direction.

ACTIVE--Whenever I start to feel the reds happening..I have to either stretch it out or walk it off to give me balance again. How could I forget/ignore this??? It makes anyone happy-- healing that emotional pain in us. I also have to remember to be active in my professional life because that also makes me see red, when I ignore my passions.

TRUE FRIENDS--I love them. I miss the ones that live far from me. But I've learned to not take my friends for granted. Friendships are relationships. You have to meet each other both half way.

ESSENCE OF COOL--For me, the essence of cool, can be people who don't try to do something because it sounds magical but just are. People like this seem to really listen to whats around them.

LISTEN--I can only complain for so long until I realized I needed to listen to what was happening around me, move on, and take action.


Here's to 2013!!! I'm SO excited to take what I came out of 2012 with and use it for the better in '13

Yellow Springs,Ohio

A little weekend trip to Yellow Springs, Ohio: The cutest little town..Mike's Grandma Rose turned 92 with a family birthday bash. It was a really fun time and we were sad to say goodbye.
